The best was the fireworks July 4th 1976. I watched them from Art Park in Lewiston NY. The 1st is Canada Day so the two countries went all out and both sides of the river had amazing displays.

Taking my girlfriend up on Scenic Drive to watch the fireworks. It was so nice we came back to do it the following week.

I’m Canadian, so I do Canada Day on July 1.
I don’t have a good memory, because I was always frightened of fireworks.
The smell, the noise, the explosion. Even as a kid, it made me anxious.

We went downtown in my hometown and enjoyed a 4th of July festival, then fireworks, around the lake as a family. Plus I got my face painted (patriotic design).
