I have a few and one of them is going on a train from our home to the West Coast and then going on a cruise to Alaska. It was a very special time and such an experience with a wonderful person in my life. It is something that I get to keep as a memory. My father did a special trip with each one of his 7 kids. We all have great memories of those one on one times with him. More so important now that he has passed.

My favorite memory of my father is when he took me on an camping / fishing trip. It was just the two of us and he cooked over the campfire. It was a great time for just the two of us.

Taking a trip with him to a bowling tournament for a couple of days. Loved the time just the two of us talking in the car.

I loved going on rides with him; we didn’t usually get time to just hang out during the week because he worked so much. He always had fun stories. A few months before he died (which neither of us realized yet; he was still in remission at the time) we went to a Batteries Plus out of town to replace my mom’s phone battery, and a candy shop was opening that day in the same strip mall. It was cute seeing him get annoyed in the car because we had to wait till 2 for them to open. He actually got an ice cream cone there instead (though he got me some chocolates), because he couldn’t resist vanilla ice cream, ever. That was a nice day.

My favorite memory with my dad was playing racquetball with him as a kid.
